Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Humane Society!  Whether you assist with animal care or help out in the office, you will be playing an important role in helping to make sure that every pet is a wanted pet. Learn more about our Volunteering Opportunities

or download our Volunteer Application Form.

Volunteer Orientations are scheduled for the following dates:

     October 22, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

During the mandatory orientation you will learn more about our organization and what each volunteer position entails.

Once you have completed the single orientation session you may register in the training course for dog, cat, or small critter handling, along with many other volunteer positions.  Please bring $10 for a t-shirt and $5 if you would like to purchase lunch to the volunteer training.

Volunteer Training Sessions are scheduled for the following dates:

Small Animal Training:

   November 1, 9:00 - 9:30 a.m.

November sessions

Because of the amount of time invested in training, we ask that you commit to a regularly scheduled volunteering shift. We also prefer that you make at least a six-month commitment.

Please note that children under 15 years of age must volunteer with an adult at all times. We also ask that all 15 and 16 year old volunteers be accompanied by an adult through training and their first few volunteering shifts.
